The editors of this wiki, however, needed such a term in order to describe the functioning of the Bedrock Engine across all editions, so despite there not being a real Bedrock Edition, the wiki chose to use this as a term of art. Together, these complications made the official name Minecraft useless for referring to the Bedrock editions collectively.
